The sunny skies and warm temperatures suggest summer, but make no mistake, the winter holidays have arrived at Walt Disney World. All four Florida parks began transforming into winter wonderlands last month to welcome the Christmas season. Every corner of Walt Disney World Resort is decked out with holiday trees, ornaments and thousands of lights.

Here are a few of the holiday highlights guests can expect to see across Walt Disney World Resort this season:

At Magic Kingdom, Main Street, U.S.A. overflows with holiday spirit as seasonal decorations line the street and perfectly frame the view to Cinderella's Castle. Here, Olaf from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen” takes to the castle stage for a “Frozen Holiday Surprise!”. During the show, Cinderella Castle is transformed into a shimmering crystalized palace – a magical look that remains throughout the evening.

At EPCOT, guests are invited to "travel" the world and enjoy culinary delights for the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays where the park showcases vibrant decorations, tasty offerings and special entertainment.

Storytellers located throughout the World Showcase share holiday legends from around the globe. These tales of traditions highlight cultural celebrations in different countries.

Guests will also enjoy a Christmas tribute with Gospel, R&B and holiday songs at “JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season.”

Disney's Hollywood Studios, is the setting for the return of Sunset Seasons Greetings. The iconic Hollywood Tower Hotel is the backdrop for a light show that transforms the facade into a Muppets gingerbread masterpiece, a Toy Story toy hotel, a snowy corner of Arendelle and a Dickensian village from “Mickey’s Christmas Carol!”.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park has welcomed the holiday season with artisan-sculpted wintry animal puppets, including reindeer, penguins and seals at the Tree of Life.

As night falls, guests are invited to gather for the enchanting Tree of Life Awakening - a colour and light display , where animal spirits come to life for an all ages show in the night sky.
